What You’ll Learn

An undergraduate degree in art from UW-Superior will provide you with the skills and experience to create through self-expression. Through a concentration in studio art at UW-Superior, you will:

  • Develop problem-solving skills within design, form and color
  • Understand the theory, psychology, and use of color
  • Become proficient in the fundamentals of drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, metalwork, and fibers
  • Become an expert in a specialized field of studio art
  • Develop self-awareness and self-expression through artistic inquiry
  • Create engaging works of art

I thought it was a very beautiful campus and it felt safe, safer than a lot of other campuses I toured. There seemed to be more opportunities with professors helping me with beyond what they need to do. And that is kind of what brought me here.

Abbey Karnes,
Studio Art

I feel like I actually got more opportunities at UWS than I would have at a larger university. My visual arts professors knew me well and were so supportive. They helped me in so many ways.
