Day Camps for Kids 5-12

Little Yellowjackets Summer Camps program is a safe, educational and fun adventure for children ages 5 – 12. Camp sessions are one week long and structured with campers moving through our facilities and participating in different programs throughout each day. The camp emphasizes the core values of teamwork, communication, sportsmanship and FUN! All activities focus on being physically active while our camp staff works with campers to improve basic skills. Activities are geared towards beginner and intermediate skill levels.

Summer 2025 will consist of eight weeks of camps between June 11th  – August 1st (See the camp sessions information below for details). Camp Sessions

All campers will be in one group. There will be a maximum of 20 campers per 5-day session, and 16 campers per each 3-day session.

  • June 11-13: Ready, Set, Fun! (Short Week)
    • This is the perfect way to dive into an unforgettable summer of adventure and excitement! Campers will enjoy three days filled with games, crafts and outdoor activities, setting the stage for an incredible camp season ahead!
  • June 16-20: Wacky Science Week! (Science, Math, Technology)
    • This week is all about curiosity, creativity, and hands on fun! Campers will become junior scientists as they explore experiments, make gooey creations, and discover the wonders of the world around them!
  • June 23-27: Little All Stars! (Sports)
    • This is a high energy camp where young athletes will run, jump, and play their way through fun sports and games. Campers will build skills, teamwork, and confidence with a little help from some of our own Yellowjacket Varsity Athletes.
  • June 30-July 2: Stars, Stripes and Summer Fun! (Short Week)
    • Come join us for a patriotic celebration packed with red, white, and blue fun! Campers will enjoy festive crafts, outdoor games, and mini fourth of July party to kickoff your holiday in style!
  • July 7-11: Little YellowJackets Save The World! (Environmental Awareness)
    • Calling all Eco-Heroes! Through fun activities like recycling crafts, nature walks, and learning about protecting the planet, campers will discover how small actions can make big differences!
  • July 14-18: Jacket Rocks! (Climbing Skills)
    • Campers will join us while climbing, exploring, and conquering new challenges! Campers will scale to new heights, learn teamwork, and receive instruction on how to be safe with Superior Adventures’ climbing equipment and the help of our local climbing experts!
  • July 21-25: Wild Wisconsin! (Camping and Outdoors)
    • Join us in exploring the natural beauty of Wisconsin and connect with the great outdoors. Highlights include a trip to Pattison State park to see Big Manitou Falls, nature scavenger hunts, and hands-on activities that celebrate the state’s incredible wildlife and landscape!
  • July 28-Aug 1: Super Heroes of Superior! (Community Safety)
    • 3 spots available for campers under the age of 7 on July 29, 2025.

Cost and Discounts

Payments must be paid in full when turning in your registration. Cash, check and debit/credit card payments will be accepted at the Marcovich Wellness Center Front Desk.

  • Total session fee: $200/camp, $100 short week
  • Early drop-off per session (7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.): $15
  • Late pickup per session (5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.): $15
  • Late pickup every 15 minutes a child is not picked up: $10 per 15 minutes

Full reimbursement will be granted 10 business days prior to the session start date. Inside of 10 business days, a partial reimbursement (up to ½ of current amount paid) will be granted. Early Bird Special: register and pay full amount for at least three (3) 5-day camps by Friday, March 28th , 2025 and receive $25 off for the first three (3) camps.

  • If you register for one or two sessions, you will not receive a discount for either.
  • If you register and pay for two or fewer sessions, after payment has been made, no refunds will be given for adding additional sessions.
    • Our two (2) short weeks are not included with this discount, and do not count towards the 3 camps as required.

UW-Superior Student and Faculty/Staff Discount: all current students, faculty/staff receive 5% off the total final cost.

  • Parent/guardian must be a current UW-Superior student, faculty or staff member
  • Must have a valid UWS student, staff or faculty ID
  • Must be the parent or guardian of all participating children

Registration

In-person Early Registration for Faculty/Staff, Current UWS Students, and Returning Campers will take place at the Marcovich Wellness Center during the third week of March. Specific dates have yet to be determined.

General Registration begins March 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. via our CampDoc registration page.

We will be accepting online payments this year. A registration link will be provided below on March 18.

Registrations are not considered submitted until payment is received. Camp rosters are filled on a first come/first served basis.
