Transfer Credits

Do My Credits Transfer?

UW-Superior will work with you to transfer as many of your credits as possible from other universities, community or tribal colleges, technical colleges and military programs.

Students can transfer courses from an accredited college, university or community college as long as the courses are in a similar curricular format with a grade of “D-” or higher. Some degree programs require at least a “C” or higher in order to transfer. It’s good practice to keep a copy of your course descriptions, syllabus, and catalog from the institution where the courses were taken.

We’re Here to Help

If you have any questions related to transferring credits and articulation agreements, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Articulation Agreements

An articulation agreement is a partnership between two institutions to recognize credits toward a degree. These are formal agreements that are updated regularly to ensure a seamless transfer from a partnering institution to UW-Superior.

UW-Superior works with many community, vocational and tribal colleges to make it easy for you to transfer course credits to our university. Articulation agreements allow you to transfer credits earned through an associate’s degree program to UW-Superior to meet University Studies/General Education requirements.

Transfer Guides/MOUs

Transfer guides (sometimes called MOUs) are less formal pathway documents that show students generally how courses will transfer from a partnering institution to UW-Superior. These are maintained and updated regularly, but some variance may occur as courses change at each institution.

University Studies/General Education
