Online Learning Library Services
All of Jim Dan Hill Library’s services and resources are available to Online Learning students. Be sure to check out the Online Learning Guide for Students to learn more about the services and guides available.
Online Tutoring Services
UW-Superior offers professional online drop-in tutoring in a large variety of subjects through NetTutor. These tutors are not UW-Superior students, but graduates of bachelor’s or master’s degrees in the subjects they tutor. Tutoring through NetTutor is not UW-Superior course specific, and the tutors have not taken any classes at UW-Superior.
Students can access NetTutor through their Canvas courses. Tutor availability varies by subject, and the subject schedules can be found on the page.
Writing Center
If you’re looking for help writing a paper or need a second set of eyes to help with revising and editing, the Writing Center is always available to Online Learning Students. With online consultations and extended hours for every term, you’ll be able to get the help you need.
Technology Services

Disability Support Services
Disability Support Services is focused on helping students in need achieve success in the classroom. Please contact DSS at 715-394-8188 or email with any questions.
Career Services
Career Services provides a wealth of online resources for online learning students in resume building, cover letter writing, and job and internship seeking. Students may also email their resume and cover letters to Career Services to be reviewed by a career counselor.
Handshake is UW-Superior’s official web recruiting system, where students can review jobs, volunteer opportunities, and internships posted by regional, national, and global employers, network with recruiters, and view upcoming career events hosted by Career Services. Handshake is part of the Jobs for Wisconsin Grads Consortium, where employers can connect with students on 13 state university campuses at one time.
Financial Aid

Veteran and Nontraditional Students
If you’re a Veteran or Nontraditional student, be sure to contact the Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center to learn about the resources available to adult learners, the childcare subsidy program and information regarding Veteran benefits.
Bookstore
To purchase books, course materials, and Yellowjacket apparel, be sure to check out ‘Jacket Book and Supply. Online ordering is available and many textbook offerings include e-books!
Testing Information
All University of Wisconsin students who have not completed a college level mathematics course must take the Wisconsin Math Placement Test, available at all UW campuses and at testing centers nationwide. Visit the Placement Testing page for information on scheduling a test.
Students pursuing the Elementary Education major will complete Praxis Tests for program admission and for admission to student teaching.
Students may meet requirements for a number of UW-Superior courses through CLEP/DANTES tests.
