UW-Superior to present ‘The Path Toward Financial Well-Being’ with Dean McCall

The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Dr. Lydia Thering and Ms. Joan Hedrick Lecture Series will present The Path Toward Financial Well-Being: A Conversation for All Generations, featuring UW-Superior alumnus Dean McCall. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 16, at 6 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room. This event is free and open to the community, but registration is required.

McCall, a 1980 UW-Superior graduate, brings nearly 40 years of investment experience. He began his career in auditing at ALLETE before managing fixed income and institutional portfolios for Minnesota Power. In 2002, he joined Morgan Stanley, where he now serves as a financial advisor and senior vice president, helping individuals, families, and businesses with financial planning and retirement strategies.

An active community member, McCall has held leadership roles in various civic, church and youth organizations, including serving as president of the UW-Superior Foundation, now known as the UW-Superior Alumni & Friends Foundation.

The endowed Dr. Lydia C. Thering and Ms. Joan L. Hedrick Fund for Academic Enrichment and Excellence at the UW-Superior Foundation provides funding for this distinguished lecture series which emphasizes health, well-being and community relevant topics for the university community and greater Twin Ports region. Dr. Thering and Ms. Hedrick both gained Faculty Emeritus status upon retirement from UW-Superior for their dedication to education and commitment to health and well-being.
