The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host an evening of free family fun with “Books with Buzz” Wednesday, March 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Jim Dan Hill Library.
Named for UW-Superior’s Yellowjacket mascot, this collaboration with UW-Superior’s Future Teachers Association student organization, Department of Education and the Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center celebrates National Reading Month.
“We are so excited to once again host our family-friendly event on campus,” said Taylor Walkky-Byington, academic advising manager at UW-Superior. “This event was so successful prior to the pandemic, and our students have been working hard to create fun activities for children back on campus in our UWS library.”
The evening will include crafts, activities and book reading for children in the Twin Ports. The event will also feature visits from Buzz, The Cat in the Hat and Sneech sidekicks. Children will also be able to receive a free book while supplies last.
For children with special accommodation needs, please call 715-394-8406 . The Jim Dan Hill Library is located at 907 N. 19th St. in Superior.
