About
Michael works with instructional technology and acts as the Canvas and Kaltura field admin for UW-Superior. He represents UW-Superior on various UW System committees, including the DLE Advisory Council and Learning Technology Development Council.
Michael joined UW-Superior in 2018, following a position with UW Colleges Online as a learning technology specialist. His early career focused on social media management, strategic communication, and multimedia design in the private sector, including a staff writer position for the arts criticism website Spectrum Culture. Michael studied journalism and film studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Michael also works with the Dane County Jail Library Group as part of the Kids Connection program, which promotes family literacy and communication between incarcerated custodial parents and their children.
Outside of work, Michael is a ravenous music buff, audiophile, and recovering film nerd, and loves to pontificate about Roxy Music, sci-fi, podcasts, audio gear, and Edgar Wright films. You can find him tethered to a pair of headphones at all times.
