About
MaKenzie Johnson is an Assistant Teaching Professor with the Department of Counselor Education at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Prior to higher education, MaKenzie was a school counselor for 12 years after graduating from this same program. She came back to serve the program that helped her get started in her career and is passionate about being student-focused and developing a program aimed to prepare emerging counselors.
MaKenzie is dual-licensed in the state of MN and sees clients in her private practice as an LPCC, with a focus on Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) and Parental Leave Coaching.
Outside of work, she spends her time hiking the vast trails in Duluth with her husband, daughters and puppy, Lester.
