About
Dr. Jessica Urbaniak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education. Prior to beginning at UW-Superior in 2021, she served as a K-8 principal and teacher of math, science, and special education. Dr. Urbaniak is passionate about serving students from historically underserved communities, culturally relevant and inclusive pedagogy, and creating classroom and school cultures of belonging. Dr. Urbaniak is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She enjoys reading, mountain biking, and practicing a sustainable lifestyle.
