The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will host Ragtime Rendezvous with Chris Dawson on Friday, November 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Webb Recital Hall.

Ragtime Rendezvous offers the opportunity to connect with fellow music lovers and celebrate the rich heritage of the genre.

Dawson, a versatile and in-demand pianist, is set to bring a celebration of ragtime music. Audience members can expect a captivating mix of classic ragtime pieces along with some modern interpretations. Influences from Harlem stride piano and jazz will showcase Dawson’s diverse skill set and collaborations with renowned artists.

Based in Los Angeles, Dawson brings a wealth of experience from both traditional and modern jazz scenes, making this concert a unique blend of styles. He has performed with vocalists such as Tierney Sutton and Patti Austin, as well as his work on projects for Netflix and major record labels.
