The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present its first Symphonic Band Concert of the year on Thursday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.

“They are excited to present a wide musical repertoire at this concert,” said Steven Siegel, UW-Superior director of bands and trumpet. “Audience members will be taken on a journey of emotions as the music will represent everything from heartbreak, grief and angst to overwhelming joy and everything in between.”

The musical selections will span a plethora of musical styles and will be chosen from composers such as Carol Britten Chambers, Brian Balmages, Eric Whitacre, David Gillingham and James Swearingen.

Tickets are $5 for adults and free for students. Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main, 1710 Weeks Ave.
