The University of Wisconsin-Superior will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center with an open house on Friday, April 28, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Celebrating 50 years of creativity, culture and community at UW-Superior, the free community event will feature art, music and video productions with a brief presentation scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
“This is a great opportunity for the whole community to get to experience this important hub of art and culture with gallery displays, music and historical information,” said Brett Jones, professor of percussion and chair of the Music Department at UW-Superior. “Explore the building at your own pace, enjoy some food and share stories with friends.”
During it’s time, Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center has been home to over 1,000 theatre performances, more than 800 gallery exhibits of visual arts and more than 1,000 recitals.
