Donations support student scholarships, emergency funding, undergraduate research, and academic programming
During the online fundraising event Superior Day of Giving on Tuesday, April 25, Superior Fund donations to the UW-Superior Foundation will be matched thanks to a returning $50,000 challenge gift. In its ninth consecutive year, Superior Day of Giving is the foundation’s largest fundraising event, raising over $240,000 last year.
Donations support student scholarships, emergency funding, undergraduate research, and academic programming. The Superior Fund is a top fundraising priority and enables the foundation to provide needed support to the university.
“We are overwhelmed with gratitude every year over the generosity of our Yellowjacket community,” said Jeanne Thompson, Vice Chancellor for University Advancement. “When alumni and friends of the university come together on a day like Superior Day of Giving, a bigger impact is made. We truly are stronger when we come together.”
Most gifts received on Superior Day of Giving are made online but can also be made by mail to the UW-Superior Foundation. Every gift of any amount made to the foundation on April 25 will support the Day of Giving.
The foundation has also continued its partnership with UW-Superior Yellowjacket Athletics, who will be hosting their fourth live telethon to support fundraising efforts of the Champions Club. Gifts made to the Champions Club benefit student-athletes in UW-Superior’s NCAA Division III athletic programs.
A gift to Superior Day of Giving can be made online. Individuals may also mail a check to the UW-Superior Foundation, PO Box 2000, Old Main 237, Superior, WI 54880. For questions, call (715) 394-8452 or visit us online.
